21-May-23 (Acts 1:6-14)

There at the Table, Jesus prayed for his disciples; that they would remember his teachings, that they glorify Jesus and glorify God, that they all be one.  Here at this table, as we remember him, let us pray for the same thing.

Prayer:

God of us all, we thank you for your Son, who taught us what it meant to live a life of faith.  We thank you for his death, that opened the way for us to have right relationships with you, with each other, and with your creation.  We thank you for these symbols, the bread and cup, that remind us of his sacrifice.  We pray as Jesus prayed that we remember what he has taught and that we can truly become one.
