Welcome to DisciplesNet Church. This week's worship follows the tradition of seeing advent as a time of anticipating the birth of a Messiah, as foretold in prophecy. Beginning this week, we will light a new candle each week on our Advent Wreath, each built upon the themes of hope, peace, joy, and love that lead up in anticipation to the birth of the Christ child.
Welcome to our worship which recognizes our one year anniversary and thanksgiving.
DisciplesNet Worship #56, "What God Can't Do" (Phelps, 11-20-2011).
This week's worship takes a look at Jesus' parable of the talents with Deb Phelps, senior minister, looking at the answer to the question, "What can't God do?" This is set into a atmosphere of praise and thanksgiving at DisciplesNet's one year anniversary, and in celebration of the United States time of offering thanksgiving.
Today's worship is a celebration looking at the "cloud of witnesses" that help us along in our faith, and has a special time of prayer for remembering the Saints that have gone before us. Rev. Dr. Audrey Borschel brings the message and Bob Shaw the communion, with song favorites, "For All the Saints,", "In the Bulb There is a Flower," "When the Saints Go Marching In," and "Here at Thy Table Lord"
