Offering Meditation for Easter 6C – 25-May-25
25-May-25 Sixth Sunday of Easter (John 5:1-9)
The man at the Pool of Siloam had been there a long time. There were probably some folks who had actually noticed him, sitting on the outskirts, trying to move when in order to be healed, but it was Jesus who noticed him and did something about it.
We have the opportunity to notice people who are forgotten and bring the love of God directly to them. One way we do that is through our offerings that provide the services of this congregation as well as those who represent us throughout to world to those who would otherwise be forgotten.
Consider how you can give to continue this vital work of living out God's love for others as our deacons come an collect the offering for today.
Prayer:
God, who is always seeking out those who would otherwise be forgotten, we pray for these gifts, returned to your hand, that they would find people in need in our community, our nation, and throughout the world.
We pray for ourselves as well, that we could be living representatives of your love, bringing it in word and deed to those around us.
We pray in the name of Jesus, our Risen Lord, Amen.
