Have you ever known that something was about to happen before it happens? This time of year, you might see that we're using a new color in the sanctuary, or you might notice that mom and dad are moving things around to make space for where you know they're going to put the Christmas tree. There are a lot of signs that we're coming to the time of year when we remember Jesus coming into our world and it's pretty exciting isn't it?
Jesus talked about times like that. He said that sometimes there were signs that something was about to happen and people who recognize them should tell other people about it.
But we already have something important to tell people, right? What do you think we have to tell others about? [Wait for answers]
Right. We who follow Jesus already have really good news: The Good News that God loves every one of us and wants us to know God.
So, in this time leading up to Christmas, let's not forget to tell other people about what we're really celebrating: That God sent us Jesus to show us God's love.
Let's talk to God about that.

God, we thank you for your love and we thank you for Jesus who showed that love to us. As we get ready to celebrate Jesus' birth, help us remember to share what we know about Jesus with others.
