Have you ever talked to one of your friends about Jesus? Have you ever invited a friend to go to church with you? If you did, what kinds of things did you say? [Wait for answers]
Talking to other people about Jesus can be difficult. Even adults have trouble with it. When I'm trying to figure out how to talk to other people about the church and about Jesus, one of the first things I do is what Jesus himself did.
In our story for today, Jesus meets a few of John's disciples who want to know more about him. He just says, "Come, and you will see."
So when I want to invite someone to church and to show them what Jesus is like, I always start with, "Come with me and you will see."

Let's pray about that.
God, we thank you for sending us Jesus for us to know more about who you are. Help us to share that with others. Help us to invite them and to welcome them when they do come. Give us the courage to say, "Come, and you will see."
