What would it be like to live forever? How do you think it would feel? Would you like it? [wait for answers]
Jesus says, in our gospel reading for today, that those who follow him will live forever.
Honestly, I don't know at all how that's going to work. but Jesus promises us that those who follow him will live forever with God and with each other.
I don't know how God will do that, but I do know that we can start on living with God and each other right now.
We do that by sharing with other people how much God loves them. We can tell them that, of course, but we can also show them. We can show them by loving each other the way God loves us, by being kind to each other, by helping each other.
Let's talk to God about that.
God, we thank you that you gave us Jesus to show us how to love you and how to love others. Help us to share your love by loving people the way you do.
