The gospel story for today is another time when Jesus sent his disciples out to teach and to help people. Why do you think Jesus sent his disciples out instead of going himself? [Wait for answers]
We are Jesus' disciples today and, even though Jesus can be everywhere now, it's helpful for people to be able to see someone even when they know Jesus is there. Just like people understood God by what Jesus said and did, people will understand Jesus because of what we say and do. There are a lot of us and each of us can do this. We can listen and help and be like Jesus as much as we can with the people we know

Let's talk to God about that.
God, we thank you for Jesus, who came to teach us what it means to share your love with others. Help us to share your love with the people we know, both in our words and in the things we do. Wherever we are and whoever we're with, help us to be like Jesus with them.
