3-Mar-24 (John 2:13-22)

The work of the church can be stated in two sentences: Teach people how to love God; and Engage in the loving service of others. Those are the things that we should be about. Those are the things we should support.
So, as we take up our offering for today, let's consider all the ways that we can be involved in loving God and loving others, both individually and as members of this congregation.

Please join me now in prayer.
God, we pray that these gifts we return to you would be put to use to support all the things the Church does to love you and love others. Bless them and use them.
Bless us as well, that we keep our focus on loving you and loving others, so that you won't need to overturn our tables to wake us up.
We pray in the name of Jesus, our Christ, AMEN.
