22-Mar-26 (John 11:1-45)

Meditation:

It might be a bit of an oversight in scripture that Lazarus was never talked about again. What would it have been like to literally be a living, breathing, testament to the power of God?
We may never have our lives restored by God in that way, but we too can be living, breathing testaments to God's power and love through our actions in this world.
We can take up the ministry of Jesus, to care for those who are forgotten by our societies, to visit the sick and dying, to provide aid to those who are poor and/or homeless, to work for justice in our world.
Our offerings are one way to do just that. Our money goes to support the redeeming and restoring work of the church throughout our world.
What do you have to give that people will see the power and love of God?

Please join me in a spirit of prayer.
God of us all,
We thank you that you sent Jesus to show us your love and power, present in our world. We thank you for Jesus' example to us of how to give of ourselves to show that love.
Bless these gifts and use them in in your work.
Bless us as well, that we have generous hearts and open arms to bring your Realm into the world.
We pray in the Name of Jesus, the Christ, AMEN.
