Offering Meditation for Proper C14 – 10-Aug-25
10-Aug-25 (Luke 12:32-40)
We read from Luke today about servants who are ready for their master's return, knowing that they have taken good care of what the master left in their care. How do we, as servants of our God, take good care of what God has left in our care?
How have we taken care of the needs of the ones often forgotten or left out in our world? How have we cared for those who are suffering? How have we represented God in our world?
There are many ways we can give of ourselves, of what we are and what we have to see to it that that work is done. Here's one right now.
Consider your role in caring for the master's realm as we take up our offering for today.
Prayer:
Please join me in a spirit of prayer.
God, who has freely given us all good things, who has given us gifts and abilities and resources that we can put to use in your work,
Give us generous hearts to give freely of what we are and what we have.
Bless also these gifts, that they be put to good use in your work as well.
We pray in the name of Jesus, our Risen Lord, Amen.
