13-Sep-26 (Matthew 18:21-35)

Loving others can be a bit difficult. Sure, it's easy to say that loving others is wanting what is best for them but figuring out how that works out in each one's life can be difficult and most human beings aren't that good at foreseeing all the consequences.
However, there are a few simple things we can start with: People need food, clothing, and shelter. People, especially those in extreme situations, those who have to spend much of their time in one place, people who are sick or dying, people who have suffered loss, need to know someone still cares about them.
These are things that the Church does in many ways every day. We can, of course, participate in these by giving of our time and efforts. We can also participate by contributing financially so others can go in our stead.
This is one of the many ways that our offerings are used.
Consider your part as the deacons come to take up our offering for today.

Prayer:

Loving God, we thank you for all the ways you work to communicate your love to us, especially when we're in the midst of difficult times and situations. Help us to communicate your love in all the work the Church does in your name.
Bless these offerings, that they would be put to good use.
