Offering Meditation for Proper 6a – 14-June-26
14-June-26 (Matthew 9:35-10:8)
"When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were bewildered and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." This is much like the world around us today. People want something that they can trust, something without hidden and ulterior motives. The want to see the love of God in action and now is our chance to show them.
We have the opportunities to spend our own time and efforts in help others, showing kindness and care, helping them in times of need.
We also have the opportunity to send others out, supported by our resources.
Consider giving generously, that the helpless and lost of our world will see the love of God in what we do.
Prayer:
God who cares for all of us and calls us to represent you in our world, help us to give from generous hearts, of our time, our abilities, and our resources, that the world will know your love in tangible form.
Bless this offering, returned to your hand, that it be put to use in ways that please you and truly help others.
We pray in Jesus' name, AMEN.
