Jesus said, As you have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world."  And so it is that, like Jesus, we are sent into the world to bring the Good News of God's love freely given to all.  God asks of us nothing more than what he asked of Jesus, that we give all that we are and all that we can do.  The time at this table helps us prepare for that.  Here we remember that Jesus gave himself freely to rescue us from sin and death.  Here we remember the love of God demonstrated in all that Jesus did.  So come, remember, and prepare.
Let us pray.

Prayer:

God who spared nothing to show your love for us, we thank you for that love and for Jesus, who is the true embodiment of that love.  We thank you for this bread and cup, symbols of all Jesus gave in that love.
Now we pray that you would fill us with that love and with the Spirit that empowered Jesus, that as we go into our world, we will carry your presence with us to all we meet.
