22-October-23 (Matthew 22:15-22)

We often think of giving to God what is God's during the time of the offering, but it's also appropriate at the Table.  Here Jesus asks only one thing from us: "Do this to remember me." And so, we come to the table to remember the Christ who gave up his life that we might have life with God.  Let us remember.

Prayer:

God who did not hold back your own son, we thank you for this time to remember all Jesus did for us.  We thank you for these symbols of bread and cup to remind us.  May we give all that we are in your service, to you, to your children here and throughout the world.  In the name of Jesus, our Christ, AMEN
