In one minute disciple Peter is feeling good at having answered Jesus correctly, that he was the Messiah. In the next, Jesus is rebuking Peter, telling him to "get behind him, Satan."
It all had to do with Jesus teaching his disciples about choices--between life and death, saving and losing our lives. We hope you will worship with us as we explore this message, this second Sunday in Lent.  Rev. Deb Phelps brings the message, "Which Hill," with insights on which hill we are called to die upon.
And as we do every week, we will share communion together at the end of worship (breaking of the bread). We pass along the invitation to join in or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me."

If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond all earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink, such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers are given to extend to where you are If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.
