Velma Gene Turpin walked close to God throughout her life. She went to her heavenly home on Christmas Day, 2012, at the age of 89. The interview with Gene shown here was made during an interview by Rev. Deb Phelps for All Saints Sunday at Southport Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), where Gene was a charter member. For this segment, "Remembering the Saints," Gene was asked to talk about someone in her life who was a spiritual role model to her, and the importance of that legacy of Godly faith in her life.
