John 13:4-5
Jesus got up from the table, took off his outer robe, and tied a towel around himself. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was tied around him.

Gracious God,
    on the night before he died,
         your Son washed the feet of his disciples.
Give us opportunities to serve as Jesus did,
So that all will know we are your disciples
       by the way we love each other.
In Jesus’ name,
                                        Amen.
