Offering Meditation for Easter 7C – 01-June-25
01-June-25 Seventh Sunday of Easter
There are a lot of things we can say about what it means to "Be one." One thing that might get lost in that discussion is that being one means we're all connected to each other. What happens to one of us affects all of us.
That's one of the reasons we have ministries of care. In providing for "the least of these" as though they are our sisters and brothers (because they are) we are helping this human race to live and thrive and experience life in a better way.
That's what our offering is about. We can, of course, give of our time and efforts and reach those near us, but in order to do the most good, we need to extend our reach beyond where we personally can reach.
By giving generously, we can be sure that the work of God reaches to the farthest points on the Earth.
Prayer:
Please join me in a spirit of prayer.
God, whose love makes us all one, help us to celebrate that reality by giving of ourselves, our talents, our time, and our financial resources to help the work of your love to reach to the furthest places on our earth.
We pray for these gifts that they would be put to use for your purposes.
We also pray for ourselves, that wherever we personally reach, whomever we personally come into contact with would see your love in what we say and do.
In the name of Jesus, our Risen Lord, Amen.
