Offering Meditation for Trinity Sunday C – 15-Jun-25
15-Jun-25 Trinity Sunday (John 16:12-15)
How do we remember Jesus; what he said, what he did, who he is? In the gospel reading for today Jesus says that it is the task of the Holy Spirit to declare the things we need to know. That's one way we remember Jesus.
Of course, remembering is just the first part. Once we remember, we need to be about doing those things. We need to act on what the Spirit calls to mind.
So, as the deacons come to take up our offering for today, consider what the Spirit is calling you to remember. What of your time, your abilities, and your financial resources are you being called to give so that the work of God will continue?
Prayer:
Please join me in a spirit of prayer.
God, who gives us the Holy Spirit to remind us and call us into the life that will bring life and hope and peace to our world, thank you for all the ways you have blessed us and, in turn, all the ways that we can bless others in your name.
Give us generous and caring hearts, moved by your Spirit to share your love with the people of this world in word and deed.
In the name of Jesus, our Risen Lord, Amen.
