Jesus was always watching the edges, to see if someone was forgotten. In the scripture for today, Jesus seeks out a man who had been waiting at the Pool of Siloam to be healed for quite some time. Jesus made sure that he was no longer forgotten.
Pastor Mary Beth speaks to us from John 5:1-9 and shows us how, in the way of Jesus, we can offer new life to those around us.

The story of the Gerasene demoniac is one of the weirder stories in scripture. Mark, who is usually very terse, gives us a lot of detail. Yet Pastor Amy points out that Mark is still short on what happened with Jesus and this man after Jesus had healed him. Pastor Amy uses some preachers imagination to show some real possibilities for the man who was taken "From Brutalized to Nurtured."
