DisciplesNet Worship #599: Proper B27 (Cobb 11.07.2021)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

What does it mean when the writer of Hebrews says that Jesus is the perfect sacrifice? Pastor Anita speaks from Hebrews 10:11-18 and helps us to understand what it means for Jesus to have given his life for us.
Join us for just over 30 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a few favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

We also extend the invitation for you to be part of the DisciplesNet ministry by giving a one-time gift, or ongoing, including a tithe. Trying to do what God wants of us is hard. It takes a lot of time and effort to work out how God wants us to share the good news of God's love with our unique sets of talents and experiences. Pastor Russ shares God's promise from Jeremiah 31:31-34 that there will come a day when God's ways are written inside us, in our very hearts.
Our 24-minute worship today includes a time of prayer, scripture, singing, preaching as well as communion.
