DisciplesNet Worship #735: Proper 4 – (Borschel 6.02.2024)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

The Old Testament lesson is the story of God calling Samuel during the night. Pastor Audrey speaks to us from 1 Samuel 3:1-10 about how God calls each of us and how we can answer the call.
Join us for just under 30 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

Offering Meditation for Trinity Sunday B – 26-May-24

DisciplesNet

26-May-24 (John 3:1-17)

There are a lot of things about God that are sometimes difficult to understand, things like how God presents God's self in at least three ways, as Father, Son, and Spirit. However, one thing we can say is that those three aspects of God work together in a complementary way in order to do the work God wants to get done,
Likewise, the Church is made up of a lot of very different people and the only way we can do God's work is when we work together in complementary ways, each giving of ourselves and our resources to make that happen.… Read the rest “Offering Meditation for Trinity Sunday B – 26-May-24”

God's love cannot be contained or controlled. Pastor Deb speaks to us from Acts 2:1-21 on how God's love is wider and deeper than we can fathom and how, rather than trying to encompass it and control it, we can just let it flow through us into the world.

You may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me."
