DisciplesNet Worship #842, Proper 7 (Shaw, 06.21.2026)

Not all of us are called to preach, but all of us are called to share what we know of God's love for all people. Sometimes that call on us is, as Jeremiah 20-7-13 describes it, like a fire within our bones that cannot be denied. Pastor Bob helps us understand that urgent call on us and how we can respond to it.
Join us for just over 30 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

Offering Meditation for Proper 7a – 21-June-26

DisciplesNet

21-June-26 (Jeremiah 20:7-13)

The prophet Jeremiah was feeling alone because it seemed as though no one was standing with him. It seemed everyone was speaking evil about him. Yet he was the same one who went on to stand before and demand justice for the oppressed for others, to remind them that they all were called to act in mercy and kindness toward others, especially towards those most likely to be overlooked and forgotten.… Read the rest “Offering Meditation for Proper 7a – 21-June-26”

Jesus says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." in our scripture for today. Looking at our world today we see people longing for truth, hoping for some justice, wanting to see mercy in action and we can recognize the same fertile ground for people seeing the gospel in us. Pastor Russ speaks to us from Matthew 9:35-38 and encourages us that now is the time to be the Church that our world needs.
Join us for just over 29 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion.
