We all know people who have been important in our lives and helped us to find our way in our journeys of faith. On All Saints Day, we remember those folks and look forward to the time when we'll all be together in God's Peaceable Realm. Pastor Audrey, one of our DisciplesNet saints uses Hebrews 12:1-2 to help us understand the saints in our lives.
Join us for 29 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

The parables that Jesus used to teach can mislead us if we read too much or too little into them. Pastor Russ uses the parable of the wicked vineyard workers from Matthew 21:33-46 to help us hear a word of warning from Jesus for ourselves. However, as always, there is also a word of grace.

What is our due? What does God owe us? Pastor Anita uses the story of the workers in the vineyard from Matthew 20:1-6 to show us that that may be the wrong question. God has promised all of us eternal life with God. All of us are loved and valued the same and promised the same. The question should be, "What is our response to God's generosity?"
