DisciplesNet Worship #837 – Easter 7 (Mullen, 05.17.2026)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

Before Jesus left his disciples, he prayed for them, asking God to help them in their lives of service to God. As part of that prayer, Jesus prayed that they would be one and that those who followed them, including us, would also be one.
Pastor Mary Beth speaks to us from John 17:1-11 about the prayer and what it means to us as followers of Jesus.
Join us for just over 28 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

Something BIG is at work among Christians, often despite ourselves. Somehow, we keep being called and drawn together even when we think we'd prefer not to be around ‘those’ people, even around other Christians, but ones we may not really like.
Perhaps some of it is in Jesus' prayer for his disciples to be one that he prayed all those years ago, with a special part that especially carries forward even to where we are today. Our scripture today is from John 17:20-26, and our team member Daren Huber asks us to consider special places that help us feel closer to God and to each other. Where might that be for you?
Join us for just over 25 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. DisciplesNet Worship #303, “All for One“ (Smith 05.15.2016)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

Not long after the church got going all those centuries ago, two things really BIG happened—the day of Pentecost, where many people came together as One in the Holy Spirit.  And….people began struggling with human challenges in being one—in keeping that Spirit alive and not dividing the body of Christ. We hope that you’ll join us today as we struggle with this age-old problem of Christians, and look at hope in the love that Jesus Christ showed us how to keep first and foremost in our lives—so that the World would know that God loved them.
