DisciplesNet Worship #855, Proper 20 (Borschel, 09.20.2026)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

In the message for this worship service, we visit the story of the grumbling children of Israel and the workers in the vineyard who cry out "It's not fair!" Audrey Borschel gives this week's message of God's generosity and the call for us to do likewise.
Our worship service just under 29 minutes of prayer, some favorite hymns, teaching, and communion. You may choose to participate or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

We hope that as you join us for worship you will feel a blessing from being part. Please tell friends, family, and others you know about our online church that is here with doors that are always open, walls as wide as the world, and always room at the table.

"I don’t understand myself at all", the Apostle Paul writes. He goes on to talk about the grasp that sin has upon him and other humans—how even though we know the right thing to do, we end up not doing it, and instead doing what we know is wrong. Pastor Russ helps us look at this in our worship today, looking at the question, “How Then Shall We Live?” from Romans 7:15-24.
Join us for 29 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." In life we may encounter things that we will pray for God to remove, but God will choose not to do so. How do we deal with these "thorns of the flesh" as Paul calls them in 2 Corinthians 12:2-10? Pastor Deb speaks on that passage and helps us know how we can grow through such experiences.
Join us for just over 30 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a few favorite hymns, and communion. DisciplesNet Worship #475: Pentecost+5 (Munsterman 07.14.2019)

to watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

Who is it that deserves our respect and care? Rev. Ann Munsterman teaches from Luke 10:30-35 and shows us that this is the wrong question to ask. We do better to ask, "Who is a child of God?" or "Who does God love?". In asking those questions we encounter God's radical love for all people and hear the call to love completely as God does.
Join us for 31 minutes of prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, preaching as well as communion.
