DisciplesNet Worship #834 – Easter 4 (Dean Phelps, 04.26.2026)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

The Bible doesn't always lend itself to reading things in some chronological order and the Church has embraced the same way of dealing with our traditions. In this case, our reading skips ahead to events following Pentecost for this week and then drops back until the day of actual Pentecost. Guest preacher Dean Phelps talks about the events detailed in Acts 2:42-47 and helps us to know what the Church is called to after the times of fire and fervor.
Join us for just over 27 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

At DisciplesNet in this season after Pentecost, we are continuing to look at how God calls us to right relationships: with God, with each other, and with creation. This week we take a look at our relationship with our selves and God, specifically looking through the lens of persons who struggle with mental illness and other disabilities. The world is fond of saying that we are broken or defective---yet we read that we are made in the image of God.  What do we do with this?   We hope that you will join us in worship today as we explore God's message for us with  special insight from Pastor Amy Grogan. DisciplesNet Worship #340 Love-Poetry in Motion (Case 01 22 17)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

To say that "God is Love" is to say that loving relationships are at the core of God's being. Rev. Patti Case looks at Psalm 27 as a means of understanding this vital aspect of who God is and who God wants us to be.

Our worship this week is 31 minutes long, with sing-along hymns, prayers, and a special guest preacher, Rev. Patti Case, bringing the word.
As we do every week, our time together includes a time of communion (breaking of the bread) where you may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers are given to extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us. (Scroll down for an Order of Worship)
