In Paul's letter to the Ephesian congregation, Paul comparers building up the Church to building a building. Rev. Dean Phelps speaks to us from Ephesians 2:19-22 about how we can cooperate with God in building a strong and vital Church.
Join us for 29 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

DisciplesNet

21-July-24 (Ephesians 2:11-22)

The scripture from Ephesians for today recalls a time when the Church was just beginning, and the main difficulty was trying to figure out how Gentiles and Jews could worship and serve together. People in both Ezekiel's and Jesus' time asked a lot of questions about these prophets. They wanted to know who they were and what they thought they were doing. These are questions that remain to this day, especially concerning Jesus. Pastor Bob speaks from Ezekiel 2:1-5 and Mark 6:1-13 about the questions and what Jesus can mean to us now.
