DisciplesNet Worship #347, ”Journey to Wholeness” (Smith 03.05.2017)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

The journey of Lent, as the journey of life, is filled with attempts, setbacks, successes, and failures. We are tempted in many ways, every day, to leave the path that leads to life. What can we do to stay on that path? Jesus, as always, is our example. Join us now as we explore how to follow that example in the next 30 minutes through worship, song, pray, scripture, and a message by Pastor Russ. Continue reading →

DisciplesNet Worship #346 Ash Wednesday 2017

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

We begin our Lenten season with an Ash Wednesday service which has a centerpiece prayer of repentance and for forgiveness and culminating in communion. It is just under 17 minutes.
(Scroll down for an Order of Worship)

If you would like to share communion with us you may prepare for yourself a piece bread and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to your time and place as well.
If you are unable to eat or drink, you may use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as we come together to this table of remembrance.
We hope that as you join us for worship you will feel a blessing from being a part. Please tell friends, family, and others you know about our online church that is here with doors that are always open, walls as wide as the world, and always room at the table.

ORDER OF WORSHIP:
1. Opening background music: “You Are Merciful To Me”
2. Welcome, Pastor Russ
3. Opening hymn: “You Are Merciful To Me", sung by Phoebe Spier and Dean Phelps
4. Prayer of Repentance for Forgiveness
5. Communion: Elder Susan
6. Hymn: “Let Us Break Bread Together (On Our Knees)", Southport Christian Church
7. Sending out

If you would like to chat with one of our pastors, including talking more about belief in God, becoming a Christian or following Christ, or living as a disciple of Christ, please email us at pastor@disciplesnet.org, or contact us using the contact information on our website, disciplesnet.org, or our Facebook page, DisciplesNet Church.

INVITATION TO GIVING:
DisciplesNet Church is a not-for-profit church that exists to cross barriers and boundaries to share the Good News of God's redeeming love. We rely on the gifts of our online viewers as we continue to grow and extend our nets around the world.

We also extend the invitation for you to be part of the DisciplesNet ministry by giving a one-time gift, or ongoing, including a tithe. Even the smallest of gifts, like the mustard seed, has a way of growing in amazing ways to share God's word and the love of Jesus Christ. We have a giving page on our website, disciplesnet.org, and email address: giving@disciplesnet.org
God bless you, and thank you for joining us!

DisciplesNet Worship #241, March 22, 2015

We invite you to join us on a special worship today, looking at the gospel of John and its suspense in telling of Jesus' sense that "my time has not yet come…" and then later, that is has come. Bob Shaw is skillful in telling this story, then sharing from his own experience later in the service, of finding help in God's word and presence.

For our music we have favorites, from the instrumental "I Come to the Garden," played on guitar by Dean Phelps, to hymns we hope you will join us on, "I Was There to Hear Your Borning Cry," and "Little is Much" (an old hymn that may be new to many).

Today's scriptures are from John 12:20-33 (read from The Message) and Psalm 121 ) read from the NRSV). We hope you will join us for this short time of worship (30 minutes) and will be blessed by participating. Please tell friends, family, and others you know about our online church that is here with doors that never close, walls as wide as the world, and always room at the table.

If you would like to chat with one of our pastors, please email us at pastor@disciplesnet.org.

Instead of a call to offering within our worship video, we invite you to join others who made our presence on the internet highway with a sense of God's call to give to help support this ministry. We continue to grow steadily and have so many exciting projects planned to connect with people who have been connected from the church.
If you would like to be part of making this ministry possible through giving of a gift, this can be done by going to our website www.disciplesnet.org or emailing us at giving@disciplesnet.org

God bless you, and thank you for joining us!
