Jesus is continuing to tell parables to the leaders in Jerusalem to talk about religious life. In our worship today we look at a puzzling parable of the wicked tenants in the vineyard. What does it all mean? Pastor Russ helps us with this, with a message that will help inspire us for the days ahead. .
Our worship service is 28 minutes of prayer, some favorite hymns, teaching, and communion.
You may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

We hope that as you join us for worship you will feel a blessing from being part. Please tell friends, family, and others you know about our online church that is here with doors that are always open, walls as wide as the world, and always room at the table.

Offering Meditation for Proper 22a – 8-October-23

DisciplesNet

8-October-23 (Matthew 21:33-46)

In the story for today, Jesus talks about people who selfishly try to keep the blessings and love of God to themselves. That's the one thing we can't afford to do as the church.
There are a lot of things going on in the church, but all of them have one thing in common: They're all ways that we demonstrate the love of God, freely given to all people.… Read the rest “Offering Meditation for Proper 22a – 8-October-23”

"Is the Lord with us?" This was the question that the Israelites asked Moses in the time when they were wandering in the desert. We sometimes wonder the same thing in our time and place. Rev. Paul's Letter to the Philippian congregation is different from his other letters. The Philippians understood what the Church was called to be and they did their best to live up to that. So, Paul writes to them about the struggles of the life of faith and how one can endure. Pastor Mary Beth speaks to us from Philippians 1:21-30 and helps us to understand how we too can live out our faith in the ups and downs of daily life.

Offering Meditation for Proper 20a – 24-September-23

DisciplesNet

24-September-23 (Matthew 20:1-16)

The economics of Jesus are very different from the economics we encounter in the world around us. In the Church, our economics have one foot in the Realm of God and the other in our world. We have to pay in order to keep the lights on and the water flowing but we also use our resources to help people see God's love in action and catch a glimpse of what our world could be if we all loved as God loves us.… Read the rest “Offering Meditation for Proper 20a – 24-September-23”

One thing we all have in common is that there are times in our life when someone does something that hurts us. In the scripture for today, Matthew 28:21-35, Jesus talks about the need for us to forgive them beyond our human tendency to remember and count wrongs against us. Pastor Russ speaks to us from this passage and helps us to understand forgiving others 70 time 7 times.

The vision for the Church is all about restoring and reconciling broken relationships. So, what do we do when those broken relationships take place between people within the Church?
