This where we gather with each other to pray, hear God’s word, and accept Christ’s invitation to the Table.

DisciplesNet Worship #738: Proper 7 – (Shaw 6.23.2024)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

Even when we're exactly where God wants us to be, sometimes we encounter trouble. The disciples had followed Jesus' request to take the boats across the Sea of Galilee and they encountered a major storm. The disciples were rightfully afraid, but Jesus rebuked the storm and calmed the sea.
What can we learn from this when we face the storms in our own lives? Pastor Bob speaks to us from Job 38:1-11 and Mark 4:35-41 and shows us how we can count on Jesus to help us through these times of trouble.
Join us for just under 30 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.
