DisciplesNet Worship “Treasures in Jars of Clay” (Smith 06.11.2017)

The Bible speaks of us as having treasures in jars of clay, but do you ever feel like a “cracked pot”? Do you ever wonder what is inside? We hope you’ll stick with us for just over 27 minutes sometime this week, and worship God in prayer, song, scripture, and message that our worship team has made ready for you. Our prayer is that God will be glorified by this worship and that you will be blessed and uplifted by worshipping with us. We hope that you will share this worship with others in your life. We’ve put it together trying to think of people around the world, and also those who may not be able to get to a physical worship.
Our message today comes from Paul’s second recorded letter to the Corinthians, chapter 4:1-12, with Rev. Russ Smith bringing a challenge to us all. Continue reading →

Contagious joy and celebration unfolded in their midst. Yes, for the original disciples on that special day of Pentecost….but also within each of our hearts when we encounter the Holy Spirit of God.  We welcome guest minister Rev. Sandra Gourdet for our message today in this message given for us in 2013, "Out of Hiding." Rev. Gourdet is retired from working with Global Ministries, specializing in the Africa office, and will share stories of God working in life-giving ways. Our scripture comes from Acts 2:1-12. DisciplesNet Worship #360, “An Unknown God” (Smith 04.30.2017)

What do we and don't we know about God? When the Apostle Paul went out to share the message about the God that Paul had come to know through Jesus Christ, Paul shared his understanding in a special way. And the people who left that day said to Paul, "We will hear you more about this." What about you and the way you seek to learn about God from others? I the way you may seek to share what you know about God? Continue reading →

This week comes in the second week of Easter, and the church asks the question, "What next?" For answer, we start today with the idea of a children’s school activity—Show and Tell. Except in our lives, it may be the other way around: tell and show, our ways of following the Christ.
We hope that you will join us for worship, just over 25 minutes this week, with chances to join in as we sing, pray, and praise God, and listen to an inspiring message from Pastor Russ. We are the people of God together--and so glad that you are part. Continue reading →

DisciplesNet Worship #356, “Christ is Risen, Indeed!” (Hill 04.23.2017)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

Last week we celebrated Easter Sunday. This Sunday we continue in the season of Easter, looking at what Jesus’ disciples learned when they were hiding behind closed doors, and especially what disciple Thomas came to more fully comprehend. What can all this teach us about our own faith?
We are especially grateful today to be able to share the words of Ms. Marjorie Hill, who served in India as a missionary for over 40 years. She tells of the special ways the message of Thomas’ ministry have grown up in India, giving account of his work as he went out into the world to share the Good News of a risen Savior.
