DisciplesNet Worship #856, Proper 21 (Mullen, 09.27.2026)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

Jesus was asked a lot of questions by people in authority about why he was doing what he was doing and who gave him the authority to do so. In the scripture for today, some Pharisees and Elders ask him this while he was at the temple. As Jesus sometimes did, he answers their question with one of his own. Mary Beth Mullen speaks to us from Matthew 21:23-32 about Jesus' authority and how we can follow him with confidence.
Our worship service just under 29 minutes of prayer, some favorite hymns, teaching, and communion. You may choose to participate or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

We hope that as you join us for worship you will feel a blessing from being part. Please tell friends, family, and others you know about our online church that is here with doors that are always open, walls as wide as the world, and always room at the table.

DisciplesNet Worship #830 – Palm Sunday (Smith, 03.29.2026)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

A lot has been written about Jesus’ last words, and as we observe Palm Sunday, we will look at a few of those—but our main focus is on what Jesus did not say and did not do. Pastor Russ speaks to us from Matthew 26:57-62 and 27:11-13 and shows us the power of silence.
Join us for just under 30 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion.

People were amazed when Jesus preached, in part because "He spoke with authority" and in part because of the way he handled power and authority and taught about it. Pastor Mary Beth speaks to us from Mark 1:21-28 about Jesus' understanding of power and authority and how we are called to approach the world with the same kind of love in word and action.
Our worship service is 29 minutes of prayer, some favorite hymns, teaching, and communion.

DisciplesNet Worship #601: Reign of Christ (Smith 11.21.2021)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

We call Jesus our king, but Jesus was a king in a very different way than others. His kingdom was based on love, not power. His power was based in making us all we are meant to be, not in forcing us to follow a cold set of rules. Pastor Russ speaks to us from John 18:33-37 to show us how Jesus is a different kind of king.
This worship service is just over 28 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a few favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me."
