DisciplesNet Worship #783 Easter 3 – (Cobb 05.04.2025)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

Change is a constant element in our lives, but some of those changes are transformations. We're simply not the person we were before the changes took place. Pastor Anita speaks to us from Acts 9:1-6 about the transformation of Saul to Paul the Apostle and helps us to see how God can use our gifts and abilities in God's work in the world.
Join us for just over 29 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

Paul's Letter to the Philippian congregation is different from his other letters. The Philippians understood what the Church was called to be and they did their best to live up to that. So, Paul writes to them about the struggles of the life of faith and how one can endure. Pastor Mary Beth speaks to us from Philippians 1:21-30 and helps us to understand how we too can live out our faith in the ups and downs of daily life.
Our worship service is just over 30 minutes of prayer, some favorite hymns, teaching, and communion.
You may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. "Have you ever been stopped in your tracks?" When Saul met Jesus on the road to Damascus, it turned his whole life around, Paul the persecutor became Paul the Apostle. DisciplesNet Worship #374, “Living Sacrifices” (Smith 08.27.2017)

In ancient days worshipers brought sacrifices to be burned upon the altar to please God. But in our worship today we hear the Apostle Paul teaching the Christians in Rome about a more important kind of sacrifice—a living one comes out of the grace we’ve received from God. We hope you will join us for 29 minutes of prayer, scripture, song, and inspiring message from Pastor Russ, speaking from Romans 12:1–2. Continue reading →

DisciplesNet Worship #367, “How Then Shall We Live?” (Smith 07.09.2017)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

I don’t understand myself at all, the Apostle Paul writes. He goes on to talk about the grasp that sin has upon him and other humans—how even through we know the right thing to do, we end up not doing it, and instead doing what we know is wrong. We look at this in our worship today, looking at the question, “How Then Shall We Live?” We hope you will join us for 30 minutes of prayer, scripture, song, and inspiring message from Pastor Russ, speaking from Romans 7:15-24.

DisciplesNet Worship #307, “Confidence” (Smith 06.12.2016)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

As Paul chose his words for the letter to the people of the Corinth church, what was going through his mind? He could get more 'convert's if he gave the idea that following Christ meant an easy, comfortable life, with nothing bad every happening.   But, no--Paul had to tell them the truth…that sometimes life is hard, very hard.  But that the Good News is that God's love is present with us through all things, and even in our hardship, God uses us and draws us closer.  How does it all work? We hope that you will join us as we worship this week with our message based upon 2 Corinthians 4 and 5. Continue reading →

DisciplesNet Worship #301, “Turning Points (Webb 05.01.2016)

Did you ever see a sign looming before you, and just knew: It’s time to turn around and go a different way? Sooner or later, most all of us have that experience. The Apostle Paul had a powerful sign, and because of it changed plans quickly for a trip to Macedonia.
This week’s worship looks at such moments, the game changers. Our message, brought to us by Rev. Charles Webb, comes from Acts 16:1-15, the story of Paul and his meeting up with Lydia, maker of purple cloth. We invite you to weave this in with your own story.
We hope that you will join us with this inspiring message, song, and prayer.

Our worship is 28 minutes long, and as we do each week, our closing moments together include a time of communion (breaking of the bread). We invite you to participate if you would like with some type of actual bread and drink you supply, or these elements held in your mind. You may also meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." All are welcome at our table.

DisciplesNet Worship #294, “Pressing On” (Smith 03.13.2016)

A special letter came from someone in prison, and in it, a treasure that would last through eternity.  This letter-- to Christians in Philippi-- held the innermost thoughts of the Apostle Paul as he is nearing his own death, and speaks of what really matters in this world.  Paul’s words ring clear for us today, too-and are at the core of our worship this week.
