DisciplesNet Worship #398, Epiphany 5: (Smith 2.04.2018)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

We see God at God's most awesome in the wonder of the universe around us. More important than being humbled, is the call that God has for us to put our smaller creative power to work in our place and time. Pastor Russ starts with Isaiah 40:21-31 to help us understand that call.
Our 29-minute worship today includes a time of prayer, scripture, singing, preaching as well as communion. You may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us. (Scroll down for an Order of Worship)

We hope that as you join us for worship you will feel a blessing from being part. Please tell friends, family, and others you know about our online church that is here with doors that are always open, walls as wide as the world, and always room at the table.

DisciplesNet Worship #377 “Disputable Things” (Smith 09.17.2017)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

Paul, writing to the Romans, describes how life within the Church should be. As a sign of our love for each other, we should accept and welcome the fact that all of us have different ways of working out our walk of faith. Paul warns us about being arguing amongst ourselves about things that really are a matter of choice.
We hope that you will join us in our worship, just over 26 minutes of prayer, scripture, song, and inspiring message from Pastor Russ, from Romans 14:1-5.

And as we do every week, our time together includes a time of communion (breaking of the bread) where you may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." We believe that Christ extends the invitation to all, and that we come not because we are wholly righteous, but that we are redeemed.
If you would like to share with us at the table we ask that you prepare a piece of a type of bread for you, and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers are given to extend to where you are.
If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us. (Scroll down for an Order of Worship)

To watch this video on YouTube, click here.

Is anything greater than God's love for us in the world? This fourth Sunday in Advent we look at this question. Here at DisciplesNet we've worked through the seasons of the year to help us think about our advent Sundays--and this Sunday we move from the fresh new life born in the Springtime, to a sense of the work needed throughout the summer to help this new life grow to full potential. But..just what is that full potential? Continue reading →
