We invite you to join us in the uplifting song, "On Eagles Wings." This is sung by two pastor-musicians, Twana Harris and Dean Phelps, who came to our DIsicplesNet studio to sing hymns and spiritual songs for our DisciplesNet audience around the world. We hope that you will be uplifted in listening, and singing along if you would like. After the song you will find the scripture reading that the song was written about: Isaiah 40:28-31.
This video has a special Dedication to persons struggling in the aftermath of the May 2013 tornadoes in Oklahoma as this video was being created, as well as all others who are dealing with the storms of life.

DisciplesNet is an online church and ministry that reaches out using the internet, crossing barriers and boundaries to share the Good News of God's love. We believe that God's love is for all people without exception, including people who may not be able to be part of a traditional church. We are learning as we go, and appreciate your patience in the places where our videos are not perfect.

It is our prayer that you are uplifted by watching the video and will share it with any you know who could benefit from seeing it.

DisciplesNet operates on the gifts of volunteer donors who are helping us to grow and expand our ministry.

“Down to the River to Pray”

On this video we share a special quartet of Susan Blosser (soprano), Leah Trigg (alto and music director), Dan Blosser (tenor) and Dean Phelps (bass) from Southport Christian Church, Indianapolis, sharing in the 19th century spiritual, "Down to the River to Pray." This was recorded on January 6, 2013 on the special occasion of the last Sunday morning worship where Dean was able to sing as part of the quartet before moving to Oklahoma in January 2012.

DisciplesNet Worship #116 Phelps, “The Continuing Story” (Phelps, 12.18.2012)

We invite you to join us this Christmas for this week's worship, with a special message of hope from our Senior Pastor, "The Story Continues."  Our worship was especially created with the understanding that while some of our listeners may experience this holiday season as  "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," as the song goes,  for others, it is the opposite, perhaps a very painful time.  Whether you are one full of joy, sorrow, or a combination this season, this worship is for you.

Our worship features special scripture of prophecy, and includes the Christmas story from the Gospel of Luke, read by our leadership team.  Additionally, we offer inspiring special music by the duo Dean Phelps and Twana Harris, with Christmas favorites we've created for you to sing along with, if you'd like.  Beverly Heid provides the background music for our readings.
Today we also light the fourth advent candle,  If you have one at home, you may like to light yours while you follow along in scripture and music.

Our worship also includes a time of communion (breaking of the bread)--for which we extend the invitation given by Jesus Christ to all who would come.  If you would like to share with us in this time at the table that passes all boundaries of place, time, and walls, then we ask that you prepare a wafer, cracker, or bread and a drink, and we ask that our blessing will extend to where you are.  If you are unable to eat or drink, use a symbolic gesture or mental symbols of joining with us. DisciplesNet Worship #115 “For Prophets Then and Now,” (Borschel, 12.16.2012)

Rev. Dr. Audrey Borschel brings an inspiring  message about prophets then and prophets now for our third Sunday in Advent. This is the SUnday when we light the advent candle of joy, leading up in anticipation to the birth of the Christ child.
If you have an advent candle, you may like to light yours as we light ours during worship.   Our worship is rich with music and opportunities to sing along.
We also have a special prayer in response to the terrible injury and loss of life of children in China and Connecticut as we were preparing our worship video.
Our worship includes a time of communion (breaking of the bread)--for which we extend the invitation given by Jesus Christ to all who would come.
