DisciplesNet Worship #111, Second Anniversary worship (Watkins 11.11.2012)

DisciplesNet celebrates its second anniversary by receiving a special guest to bring you our message, looking at three special visions, or discernments to bring us closer to God, that we can find at the table.
We are humbled and so grateful that Rev. Dr. Sharon Watkins, the General Minister and President of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada, took time from her extraordinarily busy schedule to give this message to our DisciplesNet family. This was filmed in the chapel at Disciples Center headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
Our worship includes a time of communion (breaking of the bread)--for which we extend the invitation given by Jesus Christ to all who would come.  If you would like to share with us in this time at the table that passes all boundaries of place, time, and walls, then we ask that you prepare a wafer, cracker, or bread and a drink, and we ask that our blessing will extend to where you are.  If you are unable to eat or drink, use a symbolic gesture or mental symbols of joining with us. Who are the saints in your life?  In our worship today, "Remembering the Saints," Rev. Dr. Audrey Borschel, looks at the way God equips us to receive from and participate as one of God's saints in the world around us.  Saints aren't perfect, but are people with their eyes trained upon God, trying to be faithful servants.

DisciplesNet Worship #100, “How Do You Say ‘Thanks?'” (Phelps, 09.02.2012)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

We offer a special invitation to our 100th Worship Video. As we were preparing for this we felt profoundly grateful so it seemed natural to take Psalm 100 as our theme. You will see a number of our worship team members and some special guests helping read this in a memorable way.

Our message today looks at saying thanks to God, asking the question, “How do you say thanks?” Rev. Dr. Deb Phelps, our senior minister and founding pastor, brings this inspiring word.
One of our extraordinary blessings comes in this worship in the form of a meditation on gratitude, given for our DisciplesNet viewers by Rev. Dr. Fred Craddock, an old friend and mentor to members of our worship team, and one of many advisors who have helped DisciplesNet make sense of its vision since we got our start in 2010.
