DisciplesNet Worship #792 Proper 9 – (T.James 07.06.2025)

To watch this worship service on YouTube, click here.

We live in a world that still struggles with attitudes that some persons are inherently better or more disserving than others. How long will we have to wrestle with this particular problem. Dr. Timothy James speaks to us based on Luke 10:17-20 a message of hope that the day will come when that demon is laid to rest. He shows us that it's worth the struggle and the continued hope.
Join us for just over 30 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

When we hear the story of the man with two sons, we often think about the "prodigal son" and the father. We don't often think about the older son. Pastor Amy speaks to us from Luke 15:1-3 and 11b-32 to help us realize how God's love can speak to those of us who have "been in the household" of faith for a long time and might be jealous of the newer folks.
Join us for just over 30 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. The Corinthians were having a tough go of getting along with each other. Know anyone like that? When anger, pride, hurt feelings, resentment, sin get between members of a church—one needs the Apostle Paul’s teachings to remind us that we can be reconciled by putting something else between us. That’s our theme today, using the scripture in 2 Corinthians 5:11-21. Minister Daren Huber will be bringing our message. Continue reading →

Special Tribute: Audrey Borschel, DisciplesNet Worship #108, “Remembering the Saints,” (Borschel, 11.04.2012)

To view this service on YouTube, click here.

Who are the saints in your life?  In our worship today, "Remembering the Saints," Rev. Dr. Audrey Borschel, looks at the way God equips us to receive from and participate as one of God's saints in the world around us.  Saints aren't perfect, but are people with their eyes trained upon God, trying to be faithful servants.
Our worship includes a time of communion (breaking of the bread)--for which we extend the invitation given by Jesus Christ to all who would come.  If you would like to share with us in this time at the table that passes all boundaries of place, time, and walls, then we ask that you prepare a wafer, cracker, or bread and a drink, and we ask that our blessing will extend to where you are.  If you are unable to eat or drink, use a symbolic gesture or mental symbols of joining with us.
