DisciplesNet Worship #833 – Easter 3 (Shaw, 04.19.2026)

They weren't sure what they should do, considering what was happening. They didn't know how to handle the situation. They were a bit afraid, very confused, and wondering how to keep the hope alive. They were on their way home when they met the stranger who helped them understand and hope again, but they only recognized Jesus when he broke bread with them.
Pastor Bob speaks to us from Luke 24:13-35 about the two on the road to Emmaus and how we are and can be just like them.
Join us for 29 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." If you would like to share with us at the table that goes beyond earthly boundaries of time, place, and structure, we ask that you prepare a piece of bread of some type and a drink such as grape juice, wine, or water. As we pray, our prayers extend to where you are. If you are unable to eat or drink, you may want to use a symbolic gesture or mental symbol as you come together at this table of remembrance with us.

This is our special yearly World Communion Sunday worship service. On World Communion Sunday, congregations all over the world are celebrating and highlighting the importance of communion, the bread and cup, in their worship services.
Today, Pastor Anita speaks to us from Matthew 26:26-30 about gathering at the table and remembering Jesus.
Join us for just over 30 minutes of worship, prayer, scripture, a number of favorite hymns, and communion. You may choose to participate, or simply meditate as we tell of Jesus' invitation to "do this in remembrance of me." On a lonely hill, far from any large city or town, over 5000 people were fed, starting from five loaves and two fishes. What does this miracle mean? How do we understand it for our lives today? Pastor Russ looks at the gospel reading from John 6:1-21 and gives us some ideas on how to expect abundant grace as God works through us.

We invite you to join us this Christmas for this week's worship, with a special message of hope from our Senior Pastor, "The Story Continues."  Our worship was especially created with the understanding that while some of our listeners may experience this holiday season as  "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," as the song goes,  for others, it is the opposite, perhaps a very painful time.  Whether you are one full of joy, sorrow, or a combination this season, this worship is for you.

Our worship features special scripture of prophecy, and includes the Christmas story from the Gospel of Luke, read by our leadership team.  Additionally, we offer inspiring special music by the duo Dean Phelps and Twana Harris, with Christmas favorites we've created for you to sing along with, if you'd like.  Beverly Heid provides the background music for our readings.
Today we also light the fourth advent candle,  If you have one at home, you may like to light yours while you follow along in scripture and music.

Rev. Dr. Audrey Borschel brings an inspiring  message about prophets then and prophets now for our third Sunday in Advent. This is the SUnday when we light the advent candle of joy, leading up in anticipation to the birth of the Christ child.

Who are the saints in your life?  In our worship today, "Remembering the Saints," Rev. DisciplesNet Worship #107,” What is Your Response?” (Cobb 10.28.2012)

We hope you will join us for DisciplesNet Worship #107, with message "What is Your Response?" brought by Rev. Anita Cobb, a talented new staff member for DisciplesNet Church.  Rev. Cobb looks at the story of Bartimaeus, who calls out to Jesus to regain his sight.
